Update on licence and premises registration renewalsWe thank you for your patience while we have been working to complete the transition of renewal processes to the new VPA portal. We will resume sending renewal notices from Friday 12 June 2026. Each licence and premises registration issued by the VPA must be renewed annually. This year, renewal applications must be completed in the new VPA portal. Renewal applications must be made by 30 June 2026 to avoid a late fee. Late applications may then be submitted up until 28 July 2026. ***At its June meeting, the Authority resolved to waive the late lodgement fee for 2026 renewals to ensure licensees are not disadvantaged by any delays caused by the transition to the new VPA portal*** The late lodgement fee waiver will be gazetted and published on the VPA website in due course. We strongly encourage licensees to commence renewal applications as soon as possible after receiving renewal notices as the process is completely new this year. If an application is Nominated ContactsAll licensees should have now provided the VPA with up-to-date email addresses for nominated contacts to manage licence and registration renewals. For more information on nominated contacts, refer to VPA Newsletter No.2 published 7 May 2026 for the article titled New VPA portal for annual renewals and applications here.
