Public Interest Disclosures

The Victorian Pharmacy Authority (The Authority) is committed to the aims and objectives of the Public Interest Disclosures Act 2012 which are to:

  • Encourage and facilitate disclosures about improper conduct in the public sector, and detrimental action taken in reprisal for disclosures;
  • Provide protections for those who make disclosures, and who may suffer detrimental action; and
  • Provide for the confidentiality of the content of disclosures and the identity of those who make disclosures.

The Authority will not tolerate improper or corrupt conduct by its employees, officers or members.  The Authority encourages employees, officers, members and the public to report known or suspected incidences of corrupt or improper conduct and will take all reasonable steps to protect people against detrimental action that might be taken against them in reprisal for the making of the disclosure.
